This office takes the threat of the Coronavirus very seriously. We will follow, and go above and beyond, all government directives to ensure the safety of our clients, staff, and the public in general.
The good news is that a lot of the work that we do as bankruptcy and family law practitioners can be done virtually, i.e. over the phone, by email, and by video conference. In fact, if you find yourself at home, now may be a great time to gather up the things we need to prepare your case. If we end up in a government-imposed lockdown, we are equipped to continue working remotely to service your needs.
As of today, the Minnesota Bankruptcy Court and family court are still operating as usual, and ask that persons who are sick stay home, and either reschedule, or ask to appear by phone.
We are taking steps to ensure safety within the office, such as refraining from the customary handshake, providing hand sanitizer, frequently cleaning all surfaces, encouraging phone or videoconference in lieu of office visits, and staggering shifts. Sick employees will not be permitted to work, and will be provided paid sick leave.
To the extent that any limitations delay your case or ability to pay, we will not charge additional fees.
